INTELIUS NAMED ONE OF PUGET SOUND’S LARGEST CORPORATE PHILANTHROPISTS BY PUGET SOUND BUSINESS JOURNAL
BELLEVUE, Wash.—May 10, 2006— Intelius, Inc., a leading information commerce company, today announced its ranking as one of the top 25 corporate philanthropists in the Puget Sound region by the Puget Sound Business Journal. Inclusion in this list is a testament to Intelius’ commitment to supporting and participating in its community.
As part of its corporate citizenship initiatives, Intelius has given more than $1 million and hundreds of volunteer hours to organizations supporting education, basic needs and healthcare, with specific focus on the support and development of youth. Amongst the list of organizations supported by Intelius are United Way and Hopelink, furthering efforts to curb hunger and homelessness for low-income families, and Children’s Hospital, helping to grant disadvantaged children equal access to healthcare. Intelius also sponsors undergraduate scholarships in business and computer science at the University of Washington. This small sampling of Intelius-supported organizations represents the spirit in which the company was founded and operates.
“Intelius is driven to support our community and its members both by providing services that help protect and empower them and their loved ones, and by giving to organizations which do the same,” said Naveen Jain, co-founder and CEO of Intelius. “By focusing on the fulfillment of basic needs such as education, healthcare and housing, we seek to make an immediate impact on the lives of our community members. It’s rewarding to be acknowledged for our efforts, and we commend all the corporations who are doing so much to make a difference right in our backyard.”
Intelius was also listed one of Washington CEO Magazine’s Largest Private Companies last week, and its identity theft prevention product, Intelius IDWatch, was awarded the WSA’s Consumer Product of the Year Award in January.
